Big Sur on the Intel MBP 2015 and the MacMini M1.
I think it also made a difference on my old MBP with El Capitan. But have not tried the Intel Macs on an external screen yet.
Well, if you own a Mac you can just go to the display settings and try it out. Seems it is not really OS dependent.
If you don't see the color profile disable "Show profiles for this display only".

Interesting, I also think that some Nvidia-GPUs are better for me, but I have a Windows 10 system now as well with Intel graphics that is even better than my Quadro card. I use an Intel i5 6th Gen.
I have big problems with LED backlighting as well and there is no need for having a laptop atm being confined at home. But I will keep this in mind 🙂
bkdo Are you able to preserve to color profile even while not using the monitor? For example, if you unplug your MacBook, is SD170M-A still there?
Yes, it is a standard profile that every Mac should have. For whatever reason it was just selected when I played with the adapter.
bkdo What are your usual symptoms like while not using SD170M-A? The standard headache, throbbing pain, lasts for hours, etc?
nausea, headache, hard to focus on the screen, need to get a nap quickly, getting nerveous, sometimes heart racing.
Lauda89 Did you have problems making all these returns with amazon?
I also buy a lot of other stuff at Amazon, so it was ok. I tried 4-5 screens from Amazon over a period of 2 years or so. I also got a lot of old stuff (GPUs, laptops, screens) from eBay. Here are different sellers. So this is mostly not a problem if they are non private resellers.
