Hello! I am really very disappointed. Lately I had to use a PC that, despite windows 7, was giving me headaches and eye fatigue.
After several tests, I tried to set the color depth to 16bit instead of 32bit. Magically the dithering was gone, as were my problems! Looking at the advertising banners, for example, you could clearly see the colors no longer shaded but with clear passages between one shade and another.
I was very happy, I thought I had found the solution to all our problems. So I tried the same setting on another pc with windows 10 ... and unfortunately there isn't! Searching on the net I read that windows 10 does not support a color depth other than 32 bits =( Is there no way to set 16bit? I'm really very sad.
I thought I had found the solution to the dithering problem!!!
i changed to 16 bit from 32 bit in win 7. Increase in more distinct banding in desktop background is visible. Have to work for some hours to be sure if it is more helpful.
