Hi, everyone,
I've posted here 2 years ago after I felt the first headaches and eyestrain, all began with me buying a Macbook pro 2018. It was all down hill after that... I've tried all sorts of screens and laptops: older newer, pc , mac, windows 7, 8, 10, Mac os's nothing felt good as it did before. Some stuff is more usable than others but after a while the headaches come back. Went to doctors and they said everything was fine with my eyes...
I'm a Phd fine arts student/researcher and this really caused a lot of problens in my work, since imagens, videos are really importante. All that i can tell you is that the Dasung paperlike monitor saved my life.... i don't know what i would be doing right now without it. There's no colors but at least i can write, research, even video edit in this monitor. When i need colors or see a image more clearly i just turn on the laptop screen (a thinkpad x1 yoga) for a few minutes and then turn it off. Its far from the ideal but at least i can still work on my scholarship.
I can say is that the fursthest the screen is from my eyes the better, so i can watch movies or video call in a monitor
/tv if theres some distance between me and the screen. Reading is always the worst part.
Also I love reading on my Kobo, I wish they will continue to develop this kind of technology.
Sorry for being silent for so long but sometimes this is so frustating that i just wish to forget it all. And when we tell others about this problem eveyone thinks we're crasy and are giving excuses to not work. there's no name for this disease and this is the worst part, there's not support or recognition... I've cried a lot about this, so many things in life became so hard. I've learned more than what i wanted to know about computers but nothing seems to solve the problem.
I've tried some hardware software combinations suggested by others in this forum but only Dasung seems usable for long periods of time, expecially for writing and reading, email, websites, word, pdfs, etc.
Really looking for their new monitors, have you seen this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTok6imfgoM
all the best
