Unfortunately, for the last few months there has been an increase of spam (or attempts to spam) on this forum.
After implementing some circumvention methods, it dropped to near 0, at the cost of some new users having to have their posts manually approved. I apologize for that, it is frustrating to have a post under review and I am looking to limit the amount of time needed to wait.
Recently however, it appears that some users are receiving private messages to go off platform (to Facebook or otherwise) from newly registered users.
This is a common tactic to scam people, so if you receive one of these, report it and then ignore it. We use these to help prevent future spam, so reports are always welcome if you're unsure 🐛
Further prevention methods have also been implemented to stop that kind of behavior.
