Color altering software never helped my eye strain. When the screen itself was good, changing the colors didn't make any difference. I admit warmer colors look more pleasant and may reduce the brightness of pure white a little, but that's pretty much it.
In worse cases software even introduced eye strain in the first place. For example those brightness overlay apps for Android. Can be tricky if the first supposedly helpful thing you enable on a new device actually is the reason for your eye strain.
Did any of those software "blue light reducers" help any of you? I mean really reduce or eliminate eye strain, not just give a more pleasant color.
