For 2-3 years now, after a few hours on any laptop, sometimes LED TVs, and especially my iphone, I would get cloudy vision, then see halos around lights, and have a migraine at the same time. If it happened when it was still light outside, I could walk around and sometimes it would go away, but if I drove a car during the day it would go away after about 30 minutes of driving. If all this happened at night I was doomed, because once it all kicked in the lights coming from oncoming traffic would blind me, and if I closed my eyes and tried to goto sleep when I had the blurry vision and saw Halos around lights my migraine would become intense. I would have to go take Advil and wait until it kicked in before I could sleep. I was using F.Lux on my macbook pro and an antiglare on my iphone. Neither really helped. I saw 2 optometrists, an opthamologist, and also had a catscan of my brain to see if I had a tumor or any other issues. It reached the point where I got migraines daily and honestly it was extremely depressing to think I would live the rest of my life in this terrible situation especially when you have to stare at screens so much at work. So I went to another optometrist to try and get computer glasses hoping they would help, even though I had tried Gunnar glasses and they didn't make much difference, but did help when viewing a LED TV. He put me on a steroid (Lotemax) for two weeks and also Restasis. After 2 days I got the halos and migraines again, and completely lost all hope that the new meds would help, then after that, i didn't get the strain again for 12 straight days. I was then really scared that after I stopped taking the Lotemax and was just on Restasis that the strain and migraines would return. I am 5 days off of the Lotemax now and only on Restasis and I haven't gotten the strain/migraines/halos yet. I still live in fear daily that they will return, but I have been working on computers daily now, slowly pushing my time on them up more everyday, and the strain hasn't returned. I hope beyond belief that I am cured, I have no idea if I am, but I haven't gone almost 3 weeks without the strain happening in years. I called the doctor back almost in tears I was so thankful. I don't know if this will help anyone out there, but I hope it does, because I had honestly lost all hope.
