iPhone upgrade 13->14, not 15?

I have been doing some googling - what are the odds I can find ANY way to upgrade my iPhone 7 Plus (Global) to some safe iteration of IOS14, not 15? 15 seems bad for the eyes, I'd like to stay with 14.6 or lower. Lots of stuff is starting to refuse to run on iOS 13 now. 🙁

As far as I know, there’s no way to upgrade to 14 at this time, unfortunately.

Have you considered getting a used iPhone on iOS14?

bkdo I'm going to look into the possibility of getting an iPhone 8+ running ios14, since this one is getting a little long in the tooth and I should be able to get a VERY low mileage 8+.

I agreee with @bkdo. I found this out the hard way. I wanted to downgrade one of my ipads after I updated it to ios 15. Terrible mistake. I was recently able to buy an ipad 12.9 2nd gen with the fingerpring sensor and it's on version 12.x . I was hoping it was on 13 or 14. I can't really do anything with it so I am going to sell it.

Sounds like a good plan. I'd recommend trying eBay or other similar used iPhone sites (This is how I got a 8+ and iPad 7th Gen on 14.x a few months back). Just make sure to message the seller and confirm the version, and you should be all set. Also, Apple's refurbished devices seem to generally be on lower versions, you may have some luck there as well.

Sorry to hear that, I had a similar experience with my old 8+ and iPad after updating to iOS 15 as well. If you're looking for something on 14.x, the stuff in the above paragraph may be helpful to you as well 😃

bkdo Found a reasonably-priced local iPhone 8+ runing iOS 14.6, which others have reported is the last good iOS for them, so here's hoping…

Nice, I'd definitely jump on that. From what I've seen, it seems that 14.8 and up are the problematic versions.
