Maybe some of you have heard that prism lenses are helpful for screen strain, but are hesitating due to the price. I want to tell you 2 encouraging facts:
- Usually, optics shops let you wear a free clip-on frame that adds the prismatic correction to your regular glasses, in order to let you test it out for a couple of days before you decide to purchase their glasses.
- If you do decide to purchase, you can then ask to have only one of the two lenses to be prism-corrected. That way you can wear glasses with one "prism-corrected" lens and one "regular" (cheap) lens.
In my case, I bought one "prism-corrected" lens for 50 euro, and one "regular" lens for 10 euro (instead of both costing 50 euro). This does not compromise the visual comfort - it's just that one of the two lens may be a bit thicker than the other. This is purely an esthetical compromise, and in my case, it's not even visible upon close inspection.
All the best! 🙂
