- Increase brightness to 100% to reduce pwm.
- Install Night Shift app and create a custom dark tint overlay at 60%+ to reduce brightness. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ascendik.eyeshield
- Turn on grayscale mode to reduce colors (and possibly temporal dithering?). Should be under Display or Accessibility menu in Settings. You can also create a shortcut to turn off grayscale with the power and volume up button, or create a shortcut in your drop down menu depending on the android version you have.
Do these three steps together. I tried this on the note 9 which has terrible pwm, and it is more tolerable for a longer period of time only if I do all three steps. Sometimes the colors on these phones cause headaches, sometimes the pwm. Other phones might have better results than the note 9.
