While I can still use my Epson 3LCD and would most definitely suggest it over other technologies, I was blind (no pun intended) to the fact that it is highly likely laser based projectors use PWM. I haven't been able to detect the frequency of mine, but I plan on trying soon.

I can watch shows and movies on it, but still feel a tad bit tired and mentally drained after watching a movie. How I was able to survive a plasma TV for so long is beyond me, but maybe the frequencies were at a range my brain could handle.

My usable TV is set to full backlight and I use brightness to control the highlights. I had to find the difference between backlight and brightness settings. I also set my color to not use "extended". It's an LG TV. I am able to game on it all night long with my Xbox set to NOT use HDR.

That was off topic sorry. In the past I suggested 3LCD projectors as a great alternative, but until Epson or any other 3LCD projector manufacturer uses DC dimming on a laser (if possible), those of us with PWM sensitivity (among other sensitivities) may be affected.

With this projector I already had to turn off the 4K pixel shifting. To me, that's another form of flickering. I turned off motion interpolation (BFI), and lastly I set the color to rec.709 over auto which can use rec.2020.

KM That models seems to be bulb based but definitely still seems troublesome. That's unfortunate.
