  • Surface Go on Windows 10 ok but Go 2 on Window 11 not ok.

I have a Surface Go on Windows 10 that I can use quite comfortably by eliminating PWM with brightness set to 100% (dimming on battery disabled in registry), and Eye Saver software to reduce brightness to a comfortable level. The same setup on a Surface Go 2 with Windows 11 causes tension, anxiety and a kinda difficulty to focus. And the symptoms occur even if I use an external monitor (Lenovo m14t connected via usb-c) which is comfortable with the Go 1 on Windows 10. Any fixes I could try or other thoughts on this?

Deepdeep the first step would be to install Windows 10 on your surface go 2, and compare it to Windows 11, to see if the problem is the software or hardware

Thanks, I did that day-before (dual booting Windows 10 with the 11) and found that it's still uncomfortable - the discomfort feels a bit different but not really better. Also tried ditherig but it didnt seem to do anything - no banding. Still checking it out.
