I am new to this forum and now I know what this is all about.
I bought MBA M1 and I've been using it for a while, my eyes don't really like the retina display. I've been trying to convince myself that I will get used to it but I don't see any improvements. I use a windows laptop for work that is connected to two external monitors, I can work behind these monitors for 6+ hours and I'll finish my day with my eyes feeling happy.
As soon as I open my MBA M1 and start working on it, I can feel my eyes are getting tired and burning just after 20 minutes of use. If I spend more than an hour on this laptop my eyes will turn red and burns badly, I tried connecting it to the SAME EXACT MONITOR that I use for my work and it's worse I can't keep my eyes on it for more than 10 minutes. I tested my eyes recently and I was told that my vision is perfect, no need for glasses or anything.
Some people say that is Dithering and/or PWM but I never experienced this before. I am willing to return this laptop and get the MBA M2 if it's really better. I own an iPad Pro 11" 2021 and I can use this device for hours without complaining.
