Anyone have any idea how this might work? Let's figure this out.
I would like to get this condition officially recognized as a disability. That way vendors would be required to offer us an accessibility option turn off the causes of eye strain: flicker (temporal dithering, PWM), and other causes.
I have called a few places, telling each of them that I do not want to go on disability, but would like to know how to get a condition officially recognized as a disability for the reasons above. None of them seem to be able to help. They are all geared on either forcing an employer to provide reasonable accommodations, or how to file and collect a disability claim.
These are the people I have spoken with:
ADA
Can only help with requiring employers to provide accommodation.
