Hi All,
Today I tested an Onyx NoteAir 2 Plus, which is an e-ink tablet that runs Android. The seller first configured it to mirror my laptop screen. I opened a word document on my laptop and then spent a few minutes reading the (mirrored) document on the Onyx device. My symptoms appeared (I become a zombie, brain slows down and becomes clumsy, my reactions become disjointed and my reaction times slow).
I then (mostly) cleared the symptoms with my sea salt method (detailed in a previous post), and we copied the same word document to the same Onyx device via USB stick, and opened this word document using a document app native to the Onyx (I was told) that is independent of the Onyx's Android system. I was now able to read the document on the Onyx with (apparently) no problems, though I only tested for a few minutes. (A few minutes is usually sufficient, however, to determine whether I am going to get symptoms or not.)
We then used a web browser app native to the Onyx that is once again independent of the Onyx's Android system, and opened a forum on the internet (the LEDStrain forum in fact, which I had just introduced to the seller) and I read some of the text on the forum. Symptoms quickly appeared.
I would be very interested to hear, from those who are well versed in technical matters (which seems to be the majority on this forum), what the implications of this experience are and what conclusions can be possibly drawn.
Thanks and looking forward!
(note for the sake of completeness: a couple minutes into the first of the three experiments (reading the word document mirrored from my laptop onto the Onyx device), I turned off the backlight of the Onyx, and it remained off for the remainder of the first experiment as well as during the whole of the second and third experiments)
