  • All Flat Screens Give Me Headache, New Car Also

I recall my first cell phone (flip phone) from 15-20 years ago. I never got headaches from it...until we added a texting plan and I started looking at the screen more. That's when I recall my headaches beginning. Around that same time I noticed I'd headaches from any flat screen TVs or computer monitors and could not use them. So I'm not sure my issues are exactly the same as everyone else on this forum. I'm jealous of people who've found a semi-recent phone or TV or laptop that has given them no issues but have problems with many/most others. I've been forced to use CRT computer monitors (I work in IT) and CRT TVs as it's just too unbearable the eyestrain/headache/dizziness with any flat screens.

Recently one of our old vehicles was beyond repair (2004) and we had to get a new vehicle (2023 Hyundai Tucson). Any normal person would love this vehicle especially coming from an 18 year old car. However, most of you can guess what I'm going to say next. The instrument cluster in the new vehicle gives me a long-lasting headache and makes me a little dizzy. I'm currently just putting a piece of cardboard over the instrument cluster to block it it's so bad. Time to look at an older car I guess.

For the last 5 years I've had prism correction on my glasses. Sad to say that did not solve any of my issues.

After many years of research and nearly giving up on finding a solution, I just recently discovered this site and it's encouraging to find out there are others who have similar problems that I do. Thanks to everyone on this site for all the ideas that I'm in the process of trying.

Out of curiosity what was you diagnosis (or prescription) if you still have it? Quite a few of us us have been diagnosed with binocular vision problems, with varying success (and lack thereof) of treatments.

I can't find my prescription for glasses or the exact diagnosis. It's about 5 yrs old. I've had the issue for 15+ years and have gotten new glasses many times and they didn't fix the issue. I've seen the binocular vision stuff on here and bought an eye patch to try. There's so much information on this site it's great. Wish there were more success stories but there are some.
