I just wish to hear the views of fellow members if they have any underlying condition as well that might result in increased sensitivity to light and flicker.

For me, I am born with marfanoid syndrome. It is a condition where one's limbs are elongated. They tend to tall and slender as well. Marfanoid syndrome is a genetic mutation that affects one's immune system, that may also result in allergies such as nose sensitivity to dust and smoke, and increased sensitivity to light and flickers. Hence resulting in a migraine.

Recently, I realized that by taking anti-histamine (aka med for running nose) over a period of 4 days, my sensitivity to light is now gone. In fact, even some places where I used to perceive is bright now appears very dim to me. When I was exposed to strong light flickering, I now only get a mild eyestrain. There was no migraine triggered in response.

Through this experience I now learned that my sensitivity to light and flickering has something to do with my connective tissue condition.

6 days later

I'm very very allergic to pollens and dust. I will try taking anti-histamines these days to see if it makes any difference with regards to my light sensitivity and migraine frequency. I suspect it won't make a difference, but it's a cheap experiment to make!
