I really want to buy a new laptop this year since my old Asus G752VT is already 7 years old.
Oddly and sadly, the only fear I have is about screens and eye strain.
This is the last of the things in people's mind when they decide on a laptop,
But I have been fearing this since many years now and pushing away the new laptop buying decision.
In 2021, I passed on the Lenovo Legion 5/5P 3060 models because I read so many posts saying people got eye strain from it.
I am wondering whether to go in for a dimmer 15.6" 250nit max 144Hz FHD screen:
# like in Asus TUF laptops
OR
Whether to go in for the 16" 16:10 QHD+ 500nits screens as found in:
# Acer Predator Helios 300
# Lenovo Legion 5/5P
# Asus ROG Strix G16 models.
I really want to buy the better 16" kind of model even if the price is higher.
But then, this eye strain thing worries me.
Sometimes the simple no frills average FHD screen might work better,
But I never know.
Let me know your thoughts.
