Hello there

this is my first post as i really dont know what is the right thing to do right now.

i bought nvidia gigabyte 4080 and installed it on my PC 2 days ago . since then im really having a bad eye strain cant browse much on internet and also gaming hurt my eyes . maybe watching youtube is tolerable and thats all. and i think its not a driver or card update issue as i uninstalled the driver and the issue is still there. also i bought amd 7900 xtx and used it for 8 days before returning it (temp issue) but when i was using the amd card i dont think that i had this issue . also been using nvidia 1080 gtx and no issue.

So should i return the card and get the amd because it was fine for me ?

thanks.

BoJacob My personal advice. Yes mate, return the card. If it strains you, there is pretty much nothing you can do. You will just go through days and days of strain and trying worthless apps and tricks to fool yourself into making it tolerable, and you will only make the recovery from the strain linger for longer after you get rid of the card. These damn cards have some level of temporal dithering and I no longer even think that it is being used to reduce banding but rather to increase performance or something like that and no app or trick or driver or OS could disable it.

BoJacob also i bought amd 7900 xtx and used it for 8 days before returning it (temp issue) but when i was using the amd card i dont think that i had this issue .

could you give me the full name of the model 7900xtx?

BoJacob I know this is old, but what monitor were you pairing with these GPUs?

BoJacob Is NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4070 Laptop GPU 8GB GDDR6 any better? Could it be just drivers issue?
