Recently I have started opening cases with hardware manufacturers reporting my issues. I am usually getting responses of "if there is an issue, RMA the thing" although I keep desparately explaining that RMA is not a solution.
At the same time they often claim that "there are no other similar complaints" - they of course are not even interested in maintaining any staticics for this, just out of interest I had a friend open a similar case for the same motherboard and they said the same thing - that there's been no such issue reported so far although I already reported mine before.
I really believe we should start reporting our issues, do spend the time filing our complaints. I understand we primarily want to get a usable product, and spending our time buying and returning one product after another is tiresome enough. But please next time you buy something and it's not OK, whether it be a new PC, GPU, motherboard, phone, tablet… sure return it if it's bad, but do create a support ticket on the manufacturer's website so that this issue is more visible. I beg you to do so.
