Hey everyone! I'm new to ledstrain. When it comes to preventing eye fatigue, we all have our own insights. I've gained a lot from your discussions.
First off, let me introduce myself. I'm alisen, the creator of CareUEyes. I've also experienced issues with my eyes and neck. Back then, it was a real struggle – after about an hour of work, my eyes would get very dry and the monitor's content would become a blur. My neck would also get stiff, and I had to rely on eye drops and twisting my neck to find relief. But that was just a temporary fix, not a real solution. I realized I had to make a conscious effort to take breaks from the screen, or my health would suffer.
So, in 2017, I decided to develop CareUEyes. I added features like automatic brightness and color temperature adjustment, which proved really helpful in combating eye fatigue. I also took inspiration from Kindle's design and incorporated a grayscale mode for a more comfortable viewing experience. To avoid extended periods of sitting, I included features like enforced screen lock and rest breaks. Now I've managed to break free from those long hours in front of the computer, and both my eyes and neck are in much better shape compared to before.
When I designed CareUEyes, I approached it from a user's perspective, but I'm open to better suggestions from you all. If you're interested in getting a CareUEyes license, feel free to shoot me a private message – I'll be happy to provide you with a complimentary license. No need to hesitate!
