@Lauda89 #p40630 Hi! I've already received the Nexigo Aurora Pro. Unfortunately, it causes eye strain. There are so many factors involved that I'm not even sure if it's just one, two, or more factors causing the eye strain. I've been able to work without issues with the Optoma GT1080 and the ASUS P3B, and I'm looking for a replacement for them that I can also use daily as a monitor. So far, any projector that uses XPR gives me eye strain.
The Nexigo supports both 4K (with XPR) and 1080p, but I didn't see much difference between the two in terms of eye strain, so I suppose it must also be due to the way the laser is handled (PWM between RGB lasers), the laser speckle, or the chromatic aberration. Maybe the speckle could be mitigated with a Fresnel screen, but they're expensive and I'm not sure I would be able to return it if it doesn't solve the eye strain.
I've also disabled dynamic blacks (in case there's some sort of laser PWM to reduce luminosity) and tried both 1080p@120Hz and 240Hz (1080p@60Hz is handled natively as 4K) in gaming mode/low latency (to reduce processing/FRC), but without success.
@kgharvey #p40616 Thank you. It seems that the XGIMI HALO is not using XPR, but it has a long throw ratio, making it not a good candidate for use as a monitor.
