New Fire Stick/TV devices?

Hey Gang!

I've got every TV in the house equipped with Amazon FireTV 1st Gen (flat devices the size of a pack of drink coasters) because they are absolutely PERFECT on my eyes (except for Disney+, oddly enough). Has anyone else who finds these devices pleasant to look at … tried newer ones? The Fire Stick 4k is on sale right now from Amazon, and my wife would LOVE a newer/faster device that doesn't shit itself when watching highly compressed Plex due to the slow processor speed…

I guess I can order one and try it, it's only $22.99 right now, and Amazon has a flawless return policy.

I have a 4k stick that worked fine until they upgraded the UI a few years back. I had to hack the firmware and reinstall the old UI to make it usable again.

I just tried a Roku Express which has been quite nice for my eyes and are also in the $25-ish range. I would try each of them out and like you said if it doesn't work for you just return it.
