Hi, I never used macbook and I don't have an opportunity to go to the store, so could you help me please? Normally I have to use any screens at a very low minimal brightness, otherwise my symptoms get worse. I usually used Eizo monitors because of this because it can handle very low brightness. But now I can only use the laptop. I'm interested in MacBooks, but I have no idea what the minimum brightness of these screens is. Considering that with each new model they strive to increase the maximum brightness, I am afraid that the minimum brightness on MacBooks is also quite high for me. So I have a question for those who use or have used MacBooks - what is the minimum brightness of these screens? Probably few people can name the numbers, but at least in comparison with other screens you use?

anyone I can not speak for Macbooks, never tried them. But I have an LED brightness issue, too. Only minimum brightness offers some relief, but not enough. I found that technology that is different from White LED is less harsh and I can endure them at normal brightness levels. Speaking of just the light spectrum and ignoring other issues like flicker, IMO what's worth a try is OLED and Quantum Dots, the latter even if only partially implemented (i.e. Sony's "Triluminos"). Since it is not clear if your brightness issue is only LED-related, I should add that I have no problems with sunlight at all.

I forgot to mention that I didn't mean White OLED (WOLED), which does use White LED technology. What I'd be looking for if I were searching for a display right now is RGB OLED, QD OLED, and regular Quantum Dots that explicitly use a violet LED.
