Hi,
On March 2022 my eyes suddenly became intolerant to all displays other than my trusty old Lenovo x280. Even all 3 televisions I had been using for many years, I was not able to watch anymore, except when I was patching, so putting tape to my eye glass.
I patched for some 8 months, I tried every now and then, if I was able to tolerate the displays. Then at some point I noticed that my eyes will not get strained anymore if I don't patch. What a relief. I was symptom-free for a year or so.
Suddenly about 3 weeks ago, I again started to feel strain and my eyes were getting bloodshot.
I didn't have any changes to the hardware or software and obviously not to the old televisions either.
The only bigger thing that might play a role, was that I had my first Covid 5 weeks ago. So the eye problem started some 2 weeks after recovering from covid.
But on 2022 I did not have covid.
This is very weird, as there really was no changes in anything prior to either of these events. In 2022 I used my phone heavily to check on the events in Ukraine, but now I did not use my phone any more than I usually use.
So I really don't understant what is happening. How can my eyes suddenly just "stop" working, then spontaneously heal after 8 months of Patching (I don't think the patching did the healing, it was just means to use displays).
One might thing that stress would be a component, but I did have the most extreme stress in my life in the spring of 2023, but things resolved in August and well, this problem started in December.
Has anyone had anything similar happen?
I've always had the PWM sensitivity and the modern display sensitivity since 10 years or so. But I've had many devices what produce no discomfort. Now all the displays cause, except the Lenovo 280
