Speaking of Moto G, I well used it in a dark room on full brightness, went outdoors, and noticed I haven't any notable hint of eye strain. My eyes feel fresh and comfortable. When I tried a pOLED unit, I got legitimately burning eyes quite quickly. I played around with the settings on both, but for me anyway the Moto G IPS LCD is the superior eye comfort choice.
Therefore, I want to know how the TCL compares to the G.
One more thing I should add. I have no meaningful history of using OLED. I tried one OLED device. That's it. Make of that you will. I personally suspect some of the issues people are having with IPS LCD is from damage caused by OLED use. My eyes feel quite fantastic right now using only IPS LCD and VA LCD.
If you want a high-end IPS LCD smartphone, you can consider the new Sonim XP Pro. I suspect the LCD on that device is even better than the G because modern LCD smartphones tend to try to be as thin as possible, which isn't the best for display comfort. The Sonim XP Pro is more like a brick, and I'd suspect they didn't compromise on the LCD such that the backlight is properly shielded. Made in Taiwan, not China. I just suspect the hardware all throughout the device is of a higher grade than what is put in the consumer products.
The shielding of the LED backlight is one of the benefits as well of the TCL 60 XE. It has multiple screen layers. They didn't try to do things as sparse and thin as possible.
