My friend bought a drawing tablet. Blackview MEGA 1 (IPS / 120Hz). At 100% brightness, the tablet owner does not see flickering. The new AMOLED screens also flicker at 120Hz (screen refresh rate). This is a new "eye protection" technology.

When the brightness decreases to 50%, the eyes do not hurt. I watched a couple of YouTube videos.

Below 50%, the brightness of the PWM may be too high, especially for sensitive eyes.

A friend has a Poco X4 GT phone flickering at 50000Hz. He also does not see flicker.

AlanSmith A lot of people can't see the flicker.

I just ordered one of these. Canyou write up a little guide on what the graphs and numbers mean?

Office laptop Tecno Megabook T15AA for $600. The screen is high quality, 120% sRGB coverage. Panel N156HCE-EN1 (8bit). Great laptop, except the screen flickers! No need to panic. Only at 10% brightness. The flicker frequency of 25000Hz is also high. There are no problems at brightness above 10%.

Express review, Maibenben X757 for $1200. Panel NE173QHM-NY2 (8bit) IPS 1440p 165Hz. The laptop screen is flickering. The RGB backlighting of the keyboard also flickers That's all I wanted to say.

Samsung S24 owners will cry with joy. Your prayers have been heard. Samsung increased the PWM by 2 times (up to 480Hz). And then only at low brightness. I would like 20 times (at least up to 4000Hz).

The screen is very tiring to the eyes. I feel like I went back to 2013 (when I had a Samsung Note 3). I suffered with the phone for less than a week until I exchanged it for an LG Nexus 5. Just heaven and earth. I don’t advise anyone to buy a Samsung S24 for $1000.

    Xiaomi POCO X6 Pro (5G)

    AMOLED 120Hz HDR10+

    Dolby Vision 10bit+FRC

I didn’t notice any difference between POCO X6 Pro, Redmi Note 13 Pro+, Poco F5 or my main INFINIX NOTE 30 VIP. Only the CPU's are different. Screens for phones from the same price category. I don't even know if it's worth doing a review? Up to 50% brightness there is almost no flicker. At brightness below 50% it works at 1980Hz.

    Hi @AlanSmith

is there any 27 or 32 inch monitor that is within the zone of low risk?
