Sony Camera - Eye Pain From Display

Bought a Sony A7Siii. It gave me eye pain. Sent it back and got another. That one also gives me eye pain. It will need to go back too.

I have an older Sony camera. No issues at all with that one. Don't know when Sony made the change.

I have video showing the flicker in the display. Another video showing a nice, stable, flicker-free image on the old camera.

caboy Might be odd, but could their tiny display be attempting 10 bit color through FRC?

I demoed an A7S ii and it did not have flicker on the main back LCD (at least using video capture. I didn't get a chance to use the Opple or oscilloscope). I get some strain from the OLED viewfinders from these mirrorless cameras in general.

I think both are mirrorless. I don't know if the mechanism would make any difference on the LCD display.

I had it set to record 8-bit. I did record the flicker with a highspeed camera and microscope (will post the video later). To my eye, it looked like PWM flicker, no color changes in the flicker, just brightness).
