So I got curious and I looked up the native pixel density for iOS.
According to this site it is:
regular: 163 ppi.
retina: 326 ppi.
super retina: 489 ppi.
Interestingly iPhone SE, iPhone 11 and iPhone 8 and lower all have PPI of 326, while the newer iPhones (13+) all seem to be around 460 PPI (as opposed to 489 PPI) according to this site.
Also interesting is the iPhone 13 mini has a PPI of 476, the closest of the new phones to 489, which maybe explains why some people can use that one?
That all said, I'm WAY above my head with this stuff so maybe it's all a big coincidence, but I thought it was interesting.
