ocean10 check out my post on the vision pro — similar experience, very usable for me too
https://ledstrain.org/d/2361-can-apple-vision-pro-solve-our-problems/15
even though the vision pro does in fact use PWM, my theory behind why i don't feel that usual "PWM strain" or "OLED feeling" at all is that the eye-tracking control method essentially trains your eyes how to "look at it correctly" by simply using it — thus making it MUCH more comfortable
like, in order to actually click a button you have to move your eyes and focus exactly to do it — if your eyes are lazy or going double, you actually can't click the thing you want. so over time your eyes get positively reenforced and "learn to do the right thing"
the longer i used the vision pro, i actually felt like my eyes were getting better and "more trained" after using it which was really surprising, i've never really felt anything like that from other devices before
TLDR eye tracking = amazing. IMO this method of control actually makes screens much more intuitive for the brain to understand
i honestly wish i could control my normal laptop with the same exact eye and hand gestures as the vision pro
also, the constant background video feed is a huge factor in why it feels comfortable too
constantly moving on screen background camera feed based on natural head movement + still UI on screen means that your brain doesn't even need to wonder if the still UI is actually still. your brain always has something to compare it to
