My gigabyte z390d with F2 bios is good
Here is facts I noticed:
0. All three 16" laptops (AMD or Intel, iGPU or Nvidia GPU, 1200p or 2k display, 250 nit or 350 nit, boe or csot panels) I tried last half year - strained my eyes. White color was bright in each of them even in win11 with ACM on/off
1. In z690 I tend to think, it use wide color range by default, causing bright white color with SDR monitors or displays
1.1 You can apply patching to the one eye, and it really works in way to reduce eye-strain
2. Nvidia graphic panel disable dithering in FULL range mode. But in z690 white still keep bright until I switch to Limited range ( where Auto: 8-bit temporal activated by-default ) and get gray white color
2.1 I set colorrange to Limited and disabled 8-bit temporal in ColorControl. Need time to test does PC become safe
3. Without any GPU gtx1060/rtx2070s/rtx3080 but with iGPU of 12600k only ( UHD770 ) - no eye-strain at all in z690. Ditherig shows no dithering activated by-default
4. In z390d changing colorrange from Limited to Full doesnt work at all, but image looks gray by-default
For z390/z690 testing I use same nvidia drivers version, same win build, same display
