I have had a lot of headaches and visual issues over the past 20 years, but I had a comfortable TV setup. I had a 15 year old DirecTV DVR that went through an Xbox One, into my receiver, then into my Mitsubishi DLP TV (from 2012). I could watch anything for as long as I wanted (including apps through the Xbox One like Netflix, Prime, Disney, YouTube, etc). I started getting error messages from my DirecTV, and a technician came and changed something on my satellite dish. I immediately started having eye strain when watching DirecTV (but fine with all other apps). The DirecTV people were not much help, aside from suggesting that I upgrade all of my equipment (and a new 2 year agreement!). I decided to try DirecTV Stream, but the Gemini Air device wouldn't work with my TV. You can get a DirecTV Stream app on some other devices. I tried Roku, but it gave me terrible eye strain. I then tried an Amazon Fire Cube (which is very cool) but this also causes eye strain. I've tried playing around with all of the settings, but nothing seems to help. Does anyone have any ideas? I saw a post suggesting an HDMI to component converter, so I'll try that. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
