Hi everyone,
I’m new here, so apologies if I’m not posting this correctly.
I’m sensitive to PWM and had a bad experience with the iPhone 12 mini, which I had to return after a few days because it made my eyes feel very uncomfortable. Now, I’m considering getting an OLED TV since they are often marked as flicker-free. I’ve narrowed it down to the LG C3 and Samsung S90C (both are recent unboxed deals at good prices).
I checked them out in a store, and while they did affect my eyes slightly, it was much better than the iPhone experience. I wouldn't describe it as pain or intense strain, but rather as a strange and abnormal feeling of tiredness after just 15 minutes of watching the pre-set marketing videos. My question is, could these TVs be easier on my eyes with some adjustments? I assume the store settings were cranked up for display purposes (contrast, brightness, etc.). I don’t have any eye issues aside from temporary dryness for which I will use artificial tears.
Has anyone else dealt with this, and do you have any advice? Is it possible to get used to the display after a few days? I know this is individual, but I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks a lot for your time!
