Wayland is a step backwards for me. You cannot directly control dithering anymore, the compositor is forced on you, performance is worse overall, tons of utilities missing, many apps still run in a compatibility layer or straight up don't work.
The security part is just BS in my opinion. If you have apps that would scrape sensitive content from other windows then you already have malware, which is concerning by itself.
When I run resource intensive apps on Xorg my app lags. When I do the same on Wayland, my whole desktop lags along with my mouse cursor. How is that isolation?
