I bought a year ago a new laptop (LED) and it's just plain terrible for my eyes. My old CCFL laptop was so much better, but unfortunately it just died so I couldn't use it anymore.

I was wondering if there's some place where I can buy new laptops with CCFL screens? I work as a software developer so I don't need it to have perfect graphics or even a good graphic card, but I would probably not want to trade that much in terms of ram & processor speed 🙁 (this pretty much means I need new models and not 10 years ago models).

I'm currently located in the Switzerland area although I'd be interested to know of what's available on the market, even if it's far away.

    helloworld Would a Core2Quad based laptop work for you? Because some from Summer 2010 exist I believe.

      Look into used/refurbished HP Elitebooks (higher quality, unlike Pavilions )/Alienware/Dell Latitude/Sager or Clevo gaming laptops. Brief search I did on eBay was a Core2Quad with 8GB of RAM and a GTX 460M. Had CCFL backlight obviously.
