What are these intermittent flickers

I have these intermittent flickers when my desktop is connected to my monitor. I do not have them when my laptop is connected to the same monitor. Any idea what is causing these boxes that flicker every so often and could this be causing my dizziness?

Try booting your desktop into safe mode to see if it's the graphic card drivers.

Sunspark Thank you. I noticed that when I connect via DisplayPort to a different monitor, it goes away. It’s using Nvidia G-Sync to balance the signals between the video card and monitor.
