i have new theory that i test because its motion pain for me and something with positioning of the pupils (eye align to see image?).
i noticed on my 165hz monitor games i play at 60hz or anything with lower refresh rate than 120 is extremely painful for me. i noticed also a lot people on steam ask why 60hz on high hz monitor look bad:

in this test when i look at object i only see object correctly at 165 hz and 82hz, between 82hz and 10hz objects are unclear for me and i need to use my pupils very very different like im lookin at object 60 cm far away from monitor to se objects clearly. dont know how to describe but its about pupil align to see object sharp. I have to cross my eyes to see object. i mean. you can look at object and its just blurred but try to focus your eyes on object. here is the problem.
when you focus eye on object you see object. when you unfocus you see blur. you know what i mean? on ips monitors i think this blur is good and what we need. paradoxically we need more ghosting to movement be more smooth to our eyes imho to see that natural blur
what do you think? and sorry for my sh*t english
another thing i realised a lot games below 120 fps are just stuttering on ips monitors and its terrible. when you were watching 60fps game on old 60hz monitors it was smooth. movement was smooth. not irritating like hell like new monitors… on high fps monitors 60fps game looks crazy hardcore terrible and cause eye pain to me. this motion is just unnatural. thats sick. its something about movement on this fps and how we see it
before you say also you feel eye pain. dont say that.
think what you feel pain about, muscle outside eye, pupil? check how your eye reacts on various and you will find answer
