I'm gonna throw in a vote for Dell Latitude 74XX series.
I use these exclusively for work, and I can tolerate even semi-recent builds of Windows 10 on them.
I have a 7490 that has been my workhorse, but it's a 2018 machine and is showing its age in high-demand applications (still fine for farting around Windows and surfing the web). It is locked at 21h2 version of Windows 10 but I can use it literally for 12 hours straight with no or minimal eyestrain.
I've recently set up a 7420 with a much more recent version of Windows (22h2 with the latest patches, still locked at Windows 10 but it's flagged as "up to date", or was before 24hX came out) and it's also fine.
In general I'm finding that Intel chips with safe versions of Windows 10 work for me. BUT specifically you want the 1080p NON-touch, matte screen. OR the 1080p glossy touch screen. DEFINITELY not the 4k, not the matte touch. Haven't tried the glossy non-touch. My wife uses a 7420 with the matte touch screen and it's just not as comfy. And we played with a glossy touch screen and it was actually surprisingly fine for me, but that machine had to be returned for other reasons. I might still order one as my personal driver though.
