Clokwork While trying to find what color space (Wide P3 in this case) Apple is trying to target exactly, I came across this transcript excerpt: When working with the Display P3 color profile you have the opportunity to also use a larger color depth. 16 bit per channel instead of the usual 8. It comes from this article If Apple is emulating 16 bit color with these 8-10 bit displays, there's very little wonder as to why I can't use their devices.
Clokwork While not entirely related, I found this graph showing the colorspace from old devices. Much better times for me personally.
jordan Clokwork I had the zenbook ux31e, m11x, and 2011 macbook pro from that list forever ago and I never had symptoms like I experience today. New devices are terrible.
Clokwork jordan I agree!! It's sad manufacturers are mainly getting their displays from the same places now (for instance Samsung). I don't know of a single current Samsung panel or Samsung made panel that I can use on a mobile device today.
