Does anyone else use steroid nasal sprays like Flonase (fluticasone)?
I used Flonase for years (decades probably). I started a new job two months ago and they gave me a new laptop. Unfortunately I had the absolute worst headache/nausea/eye strain ever on day one. Assuming I was about to need to find a new line of work I went through all my medications and found this from Google's AI bot about Flonase:
While Flonase can help relieve allergy symptoms, including itchy and watery eyes, it's important to be aware that Flonase, a nasal spray, can, in rare cases, lead to eye strain or vision changes as a side effect, such as blurry vision, or increased eye pressure.
I stopped taking it and I've been mostly fine with my work laptop and monitors since (an HP Elitebook and two Dell p2222h monitors on Windows 10).
About 2 weeks ago I got a really bad cold so I used Flonase to help clear it up and suddenly I was sensitive to the screens again (though not as bad as before at least).
Take this all for what it's worth because its just been my experience, but I'm curious... does anyone else in this group use these sprays?
Edit to add - I still can't use Macbooks and most iPhones (damn Apple) but I'm able to use an SE 2022 without issue on the latest OS.
