I've tried Automatic Refractor & PD Meter both to measure degrees & pupil distance, and the results are different, as for my feel, I feel the Automatic Refractor result is more accurate, and I feel no eyestrain at all. So I will recommend you, if you're also wearing glasses, use Automatic Refractor.
