MacOS currently on 12.7.6. Is it safe to upgrade to Ventura?

Ventura 13.7.5 is available and I am required to update in order to use the Home app on all of my Apple devices. It's a no go on my phone and iPad, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues upgrading a safe MacBook to Ventura?

People here reported Ventura to be the last comfortable version. I would avoid an upgrade if possible.

Clokwork Built in obsolescence is real. If you upgrade, you got to pay for the new device or suffer eye strain.

I have Ventura on my 2017 13 inch MacBook Pro and I do ok with it except safari. But that’s been the case since Big Sur. I found Ventura better overall than Big Sur and Monterrey. The last MacOS I could use without any issues at all was Catalina. Everyone’s different, however.
