d_balon mirrormystic To help, find any laptop screen that doesn't hurt you eyes at all … then install Linux Mint (or whatever Linux distro you want) and problem solved. It's not hard to install Linux on any laptop. Hopefully this helps.
mirrormystic yeah im justing wondering what are the laptops with the best screens that don't hurt your eyes. I guess Im looking for MAX(aesthetics) && 0 eye pain && (comparable to an M3-M4 on CPU performance, no gpu needed)

Sunspark You should keep the M1 for portability and look into other options like the mini for home use.
Sunspark It's tricky because it's not just the physical hardware, but also the software stack.. Wayland vs X.org, etc. Probably a good idea to look at OEMs that have direct support for Linux like System76 who are also creating the PopOS DE.
