I am needing a new Mac, mostly to use for photo editing.
I have an old iMac 2017 27" that had mostly been OK, though more recently it seems to be ever so slightly uncomfortable. Slow-mo video of the display does show a light shimmering of the colors in certain areas, seemingly dithering as I believe this model does not have PWM.
I had tried the MacBook Air M1 and M2 in the last couple of years, and they didn't give me headaches, but made my eyes feel like they were burning and dry, within minutes of looking at them.
My question is- if I were to get the new M4 Mac Mini, and a flicker-free monitor such as one of the Dell models that are certified as such-- and then install Stillcolor, will I really not have PWM or dithering, fully eliminating both of those potential issues?
Just wanting to get some idea of how much risk there still is before making the purchase.
Thanks!
