No need to try to censor discussion on this forum for not having enough direct relation to eye strain. All the issues are interconnected.
Not having a headphone jack is never at all as good as having one. There's just no benefit to removing it. I would love to have a public discussion/debate on the jack issue with one or more of the engineers at Apple, Google, Samsung, or even Motorola. As you know, Motorola has the jack in some models and no jack in others. The G75 has no jack while the much more compact G55 has a jack.
Want to know how to waterproof and dustproof a jack in the most primitive way? Put in a 1-cent rubber plug when you are not using it. Nevertheless, phone manufacturers, including Sony, have achieved very high IP ratings with headphone jacks without any need for plugs. There is nothing appealing or courageous about removing something essential.
