I tend to agree with your point, but for the sake of objectivity, I’ll mention that anecdotes are valuable as well, and “data” can be skewed to support a specific narrative. Many things (cigarettes, leaded pipes/fuel, etc.) were said to be healthy by those in the mainstream, and it took decades of the general population being test subjects for the truth to come out. So, while I take them with a grain of salt, I do consider anecdotes helpful in this journey of discovery/investigation.

That was in reference to Google pushing out software updates both in YouTube and Android that triggers our eye strain. It was relevant to the forum topic. AFAIK no one is getting vision induced eye strain headaches or migraines by having to buy a headphone jack adapter for their iPhone. Trust me, I wish we could solve our problems with a $10 adapter you can buy from Target.

I know two people who used to wear the bluetooth headset to answer calls non stop. Both had tumors around the same ear where they used to wear it.

The only proof i have is that im definitely telling the truth.. because i was always sus about these headset, and when i coincidentally heard about these cases.. i remember the shock i felt.

1 Friend told me he had a tumour round his ear removed. I always remembered he would wear the headset non stop.

The other guy was a manager and also had it non stop.. found out he had a tumour removed from his ear as well.

None really knew why they got it, but i put 2 and 2 together. Each case further confirmed my suspicions.. im assuming theres a lot more out there.

One of them is definitely alive. The other not too sure but i think hes ok

My brother died of a glioblastoma tumor. He was a trucker and wore a big Bluetooth headset on that side all the time. I don't recall the make of the device.

There is barely any studies on the effects of bluetooth on the brain. I'm 30 years old though, and the amount of people I've heard getting tumors from wearing bluetooth headsets all day every day is staggering.

Let me put it this way. Cigarettes were prescribed as throat medicine by doctors at one point.... you can't believe a science article and just put your skepticism to bed.

I also wouldn't be surprised if it turns-out that a tiny amplifier of radiation placed immediately next to an unfathomably complex biological organ, daily, for hours at a time, has some sort of effect which we currently don't understand.

I am a holistic health practitioner and I try to avoid using them. Yesterday I bought a Bluetooth Headset and used it last night. I wake up this morning with terrible headache and fatigue. I have a cold once a year. Exercise everyday and eat healthy.
I think I will go back to use the old school one with plug in.

The place where you keep your cellphone also matters. If you stick it to your head, yes bluetooth headphones are better. However, if you keep it in your back pocket or jacket pocket, then it is no brainer that when you put bluetooth headphones inside your head and leave them there for hours is more detrimental for your health.

I know numerous people who have had tumors on the right side of their head which is the side they used Bluetooth headset or cellphone. I was hearing about it so much I made a list, I have a list of about 12 people. One was even a 26 yr old. One friend- all the blood vessels around her right ear exploded and she almost died. One had a tumor wrapped around her the right optical nerve. Several had popcorn tumors. I use a wired headset and keep the phone away from my body as much as possible or put it on speaker phone. The wired headset I use is an air tube headset so radiation doesn’t travel up the headphones to my head.

I always used earphones on the gym, so I started to use the airpods and I was always having headaches when in gym. I used It for 3 months and the headache was always there when wearing them. I stopped the use and no more headaches.

Yep, I stopped using my wireless headphones 3 years ago. People ask why? I tell them, have a cousin and niece both get brain tumors next to their ears. Girl at work got breast cancer right where she kept her phone in her apron. They just shrug and keep wearing them.

Been saying this for ages. Thousands of taxi drivers who used to have the Bluetooth headsets in one ear got brain cancer in the side of their head and doctors couldn’t understand why but turns out it was the side the headset was on. Wireless headphones are not good for your brain

My stepniece had a temporal glioma right under her Bluetooth headset, she wore one at work and then another at home constantly (not the same type of cancer, obviously, but I still wonder if there's a connection)

Toss the Tech that causes Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. Sadly I personally know two who've succumbed and both said they had Bluetooth on 14+ hours a day 👹

No need to try to censor discussion on this forum for not having enough direct relation to eye strain. All the issues are interconnected.

Not having a headphone jack is never at all as good as having one. There's just no benefit to removing it. I would love to have a public discussion/debate on the jack issue with one or more of the engineers at Apple, Google, Samsung, or even Motorola. As you know, Motorola has the jack in some models and no jack in others. The G75 has no jack while the much more compact G55 has a jack.

Want to know how to waterproof and dustproof a jack in the most primitive way? Put in a 1-cent rubber plug when you are not using it. Nevertheless, phone manufacturers, including Sony, have achieved very high IP ratings with headphone jacks without any need for plugs. There is nothing appealing or courageous about removing something essential.

W aren't censoring anything. We are asking the discussion stay on topic. Your complaint about the headphone jack just isn't on topic. I'm sure you could find plenty of discussions about it on other forums more focused on phone hardware and audio devices.

Your analogy of "If they removed the headphone jack, that's proof they don't care about us!" could be applied to literally any change in anything ever made since the dawn of time that someone didn't like. It's just not relevant to anything at all.

If I listed every change to every consumer product that I hated it would crash the internet. I don't blame any of that for my eyestrain issues, and if I want to discuss them, I go to an on topic discussion forum to do so. But posting off topic info here, you just lower the signal to noise ratio and you make it harder for people to find on-topic info. That's not helping anyone.

QuitePainful I've already explained. The jack was removed while deceiving the consumer about why it was removed. It shows the big corps don't care about us. They impose on us. Same with screen technologies. They have their own agenda and guidance from above, and so we mostly get irritating OLED screens on phones. A high quality LCD phone is very rare now. Many have told me they have found relief using Moto G phones, but those same people often tell me they are "garbage" phones despite saving their lives by allowing them to use their phone for extended periods.
