Faham When you connect the moniter to the laptop does the laptop screen show up on the moniter or do you have to use an app or something? I've never connected a moniter to a laptop. How do you use the laptop mouse if you can't see where you are on the laptop screen? Can you do anything you want on it without problems? Like watch tv? Thanks for your tips!

compUterscUter Yes, You can use both laptops screen and monitor at same time.

or just monitor only. It's too easy. No third party apps needed. Mac/Windows/Linux they all handle external monitors effortlessly. Make sure your laptop is not too old (old ports). Otherwise, its just plug and play.

Monitor as a TV, yes. if the set-top box supports HDMI. For Cable television to work monitor you’ll need a TV tuner box.

Joise Can you say whether anything happens when you test the dirty electricity plug? Are dirty electricity plugs used for anything "official" like do electricians use them? I'd feel better if the plug was something specific that electricians etc trust.

compUterscUter I tested a flickering light bulb in a lamp plugged into the Satic dirty electricity filter, which was plugged onto the wall and there was no decrease in the flicker of the bulb vs. when the dirty electricity filter was not used.

Joise Unfortunately, True 8 bit is only available in monitors. First thing to look for a laptop screen is PWM or not, you can use site like Notebookcheck.net.

For dithering : no way to check :-) True 10 bit laptops are available, they are expensive.

This would be huge as I've not found anything I can use Windows 11 with. Are you in India? When I search for that part number I only can find it on Lenovo's site priced in Rupees. Trying to find a US version. I'm thinking that "IN" at the end of the part number might mean India?

Joise A dirty electricity filter wont reduce flicker from any bulb. The reason an incandescent bulb flickers is due to the 60hz AC cycle (not the same flicker as LED). A LED that flickers is due to its driver which is using PWM. Dirty or clean electricity has no effect on flicker but still the dirty electricity can cause symptoms to us (unrelated to bulbs).

Aquila Yes, so far. But i highly recommend you to try : 1. Flux software for windows with color temperature 3000K.

2.a anti glare zero power glass before you buy a monitor. I'm currenty using Crizal prevencia, but there are alternatives in the market. Or if you can borrow from some to test it .

d_balon It's more like personal preference , I found both at zero value to be comortable. Also please try Flux for windows before you buy anything.

F.lux/Iris/Night light, are not great solution for led screens since the white light can bypass the lcd filtering in a form of "light leakage", plus you don't want to mess with the stock colors too much, they create strain on their own
