Hello, I am new to this forum, though I have known about it since 2024.
My current setup is 2x Dell P2314H (Samsung PLS LTM230HL08) + 1x 1704FPV (Samsung IPS). This works well, but I want to optimize further. I have nystagmus and astigmatism, and spend up to ten hours a day on these for EDA and coding, so panel choice is critical.
I prefer Innolux AAS, but it seems rare in desktop monitors now. I have searched for models, old and new, but found nothing. Are there any recommendations for 2025?
Device history:
- iPhone XR (A1984) - JDI? IPS - Excellent
- ThinkPad T430s (stock) - Samsung TN - Immediate eye strain
- ThinkPad T430s (LVDS-eDP mod) - Innolux AAS N140HCA-ELK - Excellent
- HP ZBook Studio G3 (stock) - Samsung PLS though 6-bit - Good enough for regular use
- HP ZBook Studio G3 (mod - Innolux AAS N156HCG-EN1 - Excellent, favorite laptop panel so far for non-gaming
- Dell P2314H (2014-2015) - both Samsung PLS LTM230HL08 - Great for long sessions, main since 2020
- Dell 1704FPV (2005) - Samsung IPS - Great for long sessions, main since 2020
- ThinkPad T450s (stock) - LG IPS - Near-immediate eye strain
- ThinkPad T450s (mod) - Innolux AAS N140HCA-EAC Rev.C4 - Excellent
- Dell Precision 5720 - Sharp, presumably IGZO - Exceptional color, but color fringing noticeable with glasses
- Hannspree SM238DPR (2010) - Presumably HannStar IPS - Good, shorter viewing angles compared to other IPS-like types
- ViewSonic VA926 (2009) - HannStar TN HSD190MEN3 - Surprisingly good for TN
