Hi I read many discussions about Pwm/dithering free configurations but people always find eye strain and even greater eyesight issues as me because there still a backlight pointing into your eyes. Having a good full light spectrum is important but many people here and on Reddit also describe older easier on eyes display as using a more diffused backlight. On the contrary modern LCD OLED etc are getting thinner and thinner making impossible to get a similar effect on the eyes.
Here you can see the better fuller color reproduction of ccfl:

led unfortunately looks blueish performing worse and affecting your eyes, this video is alarming unbelievable showing is ccfl COULD BE BETTER AND TOTALLY LEES STRAINING;
So this why ccfl could be the only ultimate solution for long session of working and reading, only problem: how to fit a ccfl backlight into a modern chassis? Being thicker it's not as easy as usual swap of panels. I've read many discussions about this but never got a defined well made guide and lost saved web pages about this topic after broke my pc… I remember someone here also linking to a Russian, Ukrainian or "Eastern European" forum site where some guy tried to do something about this but I can't find it looking for it in the web and surfing here.
So now we just need to do it ourselves please share as much Informations as you can cause this could be the only good solution for many people. Last but not least ccfl usually but not necessarily uses Pwm but not so eyestraing… obviously a pwn free panel would be perfect!
