K-Moss Just an update. As I have been indoors and using my workstation for 2 hours, with breaks in-between, I'm starting to get eye strain now. My eyes probably felt so great today because I had minimal computer usage after getting up. Nevertheless, it goes to show that the strain/damage from IPS LCD is very temporary, and easily repaired by decent sleep.
A further update with further use: the strain is not bad at all. Not zero, but not bad.
By the way, AI told me:
"Yes, dark eyes are generally less sensitive to light than lighter-colored eyes like blue, green, or gray. This is primarily due to a higher concentration of melanin, a pigment that acts as a natural protective filter against light.
More melanin, less light: The iris, or colored part of the eye, contains varying amounts of melanin. Darker irises have more melanin, which absorbs more light before it can reach the back of the eye. This reduces the amount of light that hits the light-sensitive retina, resulting in less discomfort in bright conditions."
