Sunspark With a lower resolution you have to scroll around more, but I believe the eyes prefer screens that are simpler and with less data to process at a single time. I can see them getting overwhelmed, which probably happens more with larger monitors as well. The large monitors can be overwhelming as can high resolution screens.
When I put on Bedtime Mode, which is monochrome mode, there is increased comfort. That is because there is less data for the eyes to process?
Even the official documentation says Bedtime Mode reduces visual stimuli.
By the way, I think light mode is better for phones than dark mode if you are using your phone mostly when out and about. LCD does light mode better than OLED. The LCD phone I am testing now seems to give some relief when I put it into light mode vs dark mode.
At home at the workstation I use dark mode.
