A month ago I bought a Philips 32M2N6800M, as an affordable IPS Mini-LED 4k 32" display for primarily office use and occassional games/films.
The image quality is fantastic but looking at the screen I immediately found my eyes hurting. I was able to get used to it somewhat, but within less than an hour I would always develop a headache. It was since then that I discovered PWM LED backlighting and started down quite the rabbit hole. Setting the brightness to 100% and reducing the constrast helps to an extend, allowing the headache and eventual migraine to develop over hours, rather than just minutes.
But using this for my work-from-home main display is clearly not going to work and I haven't been able to adapt to it without constantly taking triptan medication.
Are there any Mini-LEDs with DC dimming? Like the PG32UQX but without the £3000 ebay price tag?
Or are there are OLEDs with comparible text quality for office use?
I'm beginning to think there are no ideal options out there no-matter how much I spend, and £3000 for an ebay purchase for a screen I could have bought a couple of years ago at half the price doesn't sound ideal.
Anyone in a similiar situation? Or have any recommendations?
Thank you for any help!
